Project

The project “Creation of a Desk Kosovo in Friuli Venezia Giulia - DKFVG” – financed with funds of the Regional Law 19/00, Department for international relations and territorial partnership - is the follow-up and a multiplier of the successful experience realised by the previous project “Support to new dynamic SMEs in Kosovo”, promoted by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia with its co-operation funds and implemented by Informest in 2006.

One of the results actually achieved by the latter was the co-operation agreement between the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (KCC), Informest and Friuli Venezia Giulia Chambers of Commerce, signed in Pristina on 4 April 2006. The agreement envisaged the promotion of bilateral economic and institutional co-operation aimed at creating a better entrepreneurial environment both in Kosovo and in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The project “Creation of a Desk Kosovo in Friuli Venezia Giulia - DKFVG” has the purpose to implement the co-operation agreement on the basis of a partnership of pivotal Business Support Organisations of Friuli Venezia Giulia, willing to cooperate “as a system” in the implementation of project activities. The general objective pursued by this initiative is to guarantee an adequate participation of the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional economic system in the development of Kosovo during the current legal and economic transitional phase.

The system of information and relations consolidated by Informest in Kosovo will allow with this project to maintain effective contacts with relevant Kosovo's institutions and, at the same time, it will allow Friuli Venezia Giulia companies to keep up with news, events and co-operation or investment opportunities concerning Kosovo. The companies involved will receive from Informest adequate technical support and every needed service for developing their business.

Friuli Venezia Giulia regional Chambers of Commerce will act in the project as contact bodies and will be in charge of promotion activities and dissemination of selected opportunities to the Italian companies. As project partners they will also provide their support for the implementation of all envisaged activities.
